Responsibility for the department in the absence of the Director Procurement.
Manage the day to day operation of the team, including assignment of tasks and performance monitoring, vacation scheduling, issue resolution and conflict manaagement. Mentor, develop and provide assistance, training and knowledge transference to both team members / end users. Contribute positively to the bottom line of the organization.
Mainain and execute on departmental goals and objectives in an efficient and effective manner, develop category strategies where necessary to minimize marketplace risks, utilize report in decision making. Awareness of the marketplace, understanding and fulfil the categories and the end users requirements.
Create, maintain and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), continuously review processes and procedures for opportunities of improved efficiency, assist with the development and maintenance of departmental Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs).
Creation, development and execution of quotations and RFPs to ensure the most competitive proposals are obtained. Implement, drive and practice Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in all aspects and levels of Procurement.
Participate in Vendor Management and Supplier Relationship Management; ensuring suppliers adhere to top standards of performance.
Develop templates for normal operational use including but not limited to RFP templates, RFQ templates, bid analytic templates.
Bachelor degree in Business, Procurement, Sourcing and Supply Management, or Hospitality Management.
Minimum of 5 years Procurement management experience.
APICS/ISM certification is an advantage.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, Stratton Warren software applications.
Proven ability to plan and drive commercial outcomes, good negotiation of deals, solid product knowledge of hospitality fields.
Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese.
